Support Scouting

The many active programs to help youth in our area to achieve their potential deserve and need your support.  You can help directly through the Friends of Scouting program, by volunteering your skills and time, and by contacting others to encourage them to lend their assistance as well.

Ways to Help

We are always willing to talk with you about your interest in support for the Scouting program in the South Plains area.  Please contact us using the information on the "Contact Us" page, or call the Council office directly at 806-747-2631, and be assured that we want to hear from you.

You can also support Scouting through online donations that can be designated directly to help our local Council, or your choice of Scouting program, through the national online "A Place To Give" website. As a nonprofit organization, the Boy Scouts of America relies on the generosity of your charitable donations to support its ongoing operations and future capital expenses at the local and national level. Each gift, regardless of size, provides invaluable funding for BSA programs that benefit Scouts all across the country.

If you have a vehicle you would like to donate to help Scouting, please see the information in our "One Car Helps Scouts" page.

Friends of Scouting

“Friends of Scouting” (FOS) is one of the ways in which your local council raises the necessary funds to help deliver the Scouting Program to the 20 counties on the South Plains.

FOS reaches out to Scout families, service organizations and businesses. It is one of the Council’s largest sources of income (21%).
