Spring Camporee is coming to Camp Post from April 27th-29th.
Registration is just $10 per Scout and free for adults and the complete leader guide can be found under the "Camping" section of the Forms & Resources page.
We are looking forward to a great event and can't wiat to see you there.

The South Plains Council will be hosting two trainings in March.
BASIC ADULT
LEADER OUTDOOR ORIENTATION
March 3rd Dream Center, 1111 30th Street, Lubbock, TX
This one day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor
program for those leaders who are interested in adding a camping component to
their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course which is conducted at
the Council level. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along
with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping
experience.
Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack
overnighter. INTRODUCTION TO OUTDOOR LEADER SKILLS
March 30th - April 1st Camp PostOutdoor Leader Skills will provide Boy Scout leaders with the basic outdoor
skills information needed to start and guide a program the right way.
Completion of this course is the required outdoor training for all Scoutmasters
and assistant Scoutmasters. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills
found in The Boy Scout Handbook. Completion of this course is necessary for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters to be trained.

The Wild Wild West Cub Camp will be held April 20-22 at Camp Post! $30.00 for Cub Scouts and $25.00 for family members, Early Bird Registration end March 30, 2012. Check-in is Friday from 4-8pm. Optional Check-in Saturday morning from 8-9am. Meals provided all day Saturday and Sunday Morning. |

Order of the Arrow elections are currently being scheduled for all Troops and Teams in the South Plains Council. The election period runs from January 23 through April 23, 2012. Each Troop and Team is responsible to request that their unit's election be scheduled. To do so, the unit leader must fill out the online form at the Nakona Lodge web site, www.nakona150.org/elections.
The deadline for requesting an election to be held for your unit is March 26, 2012.
