Camp Post

South Plains Council

The choice is yours! Camp Post, the first of our summer camp options, is nestled between rugged ravines and scenic hiking trails at the edge of the West Texas Caprock system.

This well-equipped camp location offers aquatic excitement through motor boating, canoeing, swimming, and snorkeling.

Plenty of outdoor adventure is available here in climbing and rapelling, mountain biking, short-range hiking, archery and shooting sports.

Camp Post is also home of Commissioner's Corner, a highly praised First Class Emphasis program, making it a great place to bring your beginning Scout for a good start in the outdoors. Evening Campfires at our amphitheater-style Council Ring are always a highlight of summer camp.

You can explore the wide range of youth-oriented facilities available in our Camp Post Map. (Need more detail? Try this topographic map link or the aerial view at this link.)
