Boy Scout Registration Form
With annual summer camp programs,
with one near Post and another in
New Mexico, the South Plains
Council BSA has a diverse array of
programs.
Troops in your area meet weekly, and
many camp at least once a month. |
 |
Troops individually develop patrols, made up ideally of eight scouts.
Each patrol works inside each troop, sometimes on their own, which
can include patrol-only activities such as camping and hiking.
Each scout pursues a path to Eagle Scout, one of the program's most
well-known endeavors. Only two percent of scoutings' membership
achieve the Eagle Scout rank. The path to Eagle is not an easy one.
But it is certainly rewarding!
Along the way, scouts earn merit badges to fulfill requirements to
achieve progressive ranks, which come in the following order:
-Scout
-Tenderfoot
-Second Class
-First Class
-Star
-Life
-Eagle Scout
