Rodney D. Carpenter assumed
the role of Scout Executive
for the South Plains Council
in Aug. 2005.
Carpenter has been involved
in Scouting ever since joining
the Cub Scouts in the first
grade. He is an Eagle Scout
and Vigil Honor member of the
Order of the Arrow. He has
served as a volunteer and
has been a professional Scouter
for almost 11 years.
During
his tenure as a professional
Scouter he has served in many
capacities; including six years
as Camp Director and three
years as a staff instructor
for the National Camp School.
Rodney and his wife Tamara
have two children. Lindsey, 7,
and Caleb, 5.
Rodney attended Texas Tech
University where he majored
in Advertising.
